At Lezzat, we are Amazon sellers ourselves, what our clients go through and their challenges are things that we have experienced first-hand. It is our promise to do our outmost to help them achieve their goals and make them succeed on Amazon. Listing Optimization is the first step in getting your products on Amazon the right way from the start.
The client, JetFuel, needed to get their products up on Amazon as soon as possible in order to hit Black Friday, Christmas and January which was the busiest season of the year for them. The Lezzat team was able to design all the clients’ necessary images & infographics and perform a professional keyword analysis in order to optimize their listings.
A lot of Amazon sellers think that having the same images and content they have on their website is enough to get them selling well on Amazon. However, this is not how this marketplace works, with over 300 million customers purchasing from Amazon, it is arguable the world’s most competitive marketplace and making your products stand out and appear on page 1 is vital. Using inexperienced freelancers or asking a traditional marketing agency to perform the task is just not enough. If you think you could be doing more on Amazon, you are just a click away to find out your true potential with Lezzat.
They found the whole process of doing this in-house complex and intimidating and lacked in-house Amazon marketing expertise. It was the first time that the client had collaborated with an Amazon marketing agency and wanted to outsource the whole Amazon channel to an agency that can help them achieve their goals. They had an excellent team of marketing support and a very strong social presence and needed a strategy that combined that with their Amazon channel.
The client, Jet Fuel, is a UK-based supplements business offering innovative supplements that are Clean, Sustainable and Ethically made vitamins. The client had a successful recently launched Shopify store and was doing social ads (FB & Instagram) to get their first customers. They wanted to try Amazon and see if the cost of acquisition of a customer would be less than their other channels.
Initially, the customer had a wealth of marketing content that they used for their website, however, that was not suitable to be used on Amazon in the existing state it was in. A lot of the images lacked information on them that showed the benefits, features, why us etc. Amazon imagery is the most important factor when it comes to creating successful Amazon listings and as such, they need to be created in a professional manner using Amazon Marketing best practices.
The copy used on the website in the form of word documents was suburb however it did not contain the keywords customers were searching for on Amazon. As such, a non-SEO optimized listing on Amazon would not have been able to generate the results they were looking for.
The supplements category on Amazon is arguably one of the most competitive categories to sell in. There are 100’s of new brands & sellers that have emerged in this category in the last few years. As such, there is a lot of “noise” when it comes to this category and many sellers have their own unique set of USPs and benefits they want to showcase. In addition, many sellers focus on the same type of benefits such as “No Chemicals” or “No fillers” and it is very difficult to differentiate a product in such a competitive industry.
Therefore, it is even more important to make the best use of the images (both product photography & A+ content) and showcase why a customer should choose this brand over another.
Getting reviews for your products is crucial on Amazon, it is the social proof that customers look for before making a purchase. In fact, reviews are ranked as the second most important factor when it comes to making a purchasing decision on Amazon, the first one being images. Utilizing the Amazon Vine program on its own is not enough to get the first reviews. The Lezzat team consulted the client on how to leverage their newsletter subscribers and social media channels to further assist their products with ranking and launching. It is our job as an Amazon marketing agency to ensure that listings are getting as many reviews as possible and we do this using our review management service which is part of our Amazon advertising (PPC) service.
On a fully optimized Amazon listing, video content plays an integral role. It is there to increase conversions of your listing visitors to customers as well as improve the SEO performance of your listing. Video is a great marketing asset to have on Amazon as it also enables the usage of sponsored brand campaigns.
The Lezzat team consulted the client with the “how-to” best practices to reshape their current videos so that they are brand compliant with Amazon and are approved to be on their listing. Additionally, once the videos were up, our PPC experts created video campaigns on Amazon to further boost the listing performance.
Once the content was ready and was uploaded the team faced a new type of challenge. Their listings became inactive as they were identified as having “Yohimbe” or “Yohimbine” and as a result, they were closed down. As all sellers know on Amazon, and we are sellers ourselves, it is often the case that policy violations and restrictions happen on an Amazon account and more often than not the sellers do not know how to resolve those.
The Lezzat team has a lot of experience with account reinstatement and helping clients re-activate their listings and it was helpful that we were managing this account from the start. As such, the team created a quick plan of action to present to Amazon and justify why the client’s products did not have the mentioned ingredient. This was a process that required careful planning as the products were already in FBA and therefore the listings had to be activated at once.
Account verification, listing optimization, listing images, PPC launch and account reinstatement were all delivered in less than 1 month of starting the project with Lezzat. All through the account is still at a very early stage of their Amazon journey the first results have proven to be very optimistic. They have already started to get traction in their industry and the products are gradually increasing in sales. The cost of acquisition has dropped from £25 per customer which was outside of Amazon to £8 on Amazon on the first month of sales and now to £6.5.
We are Amazon sellers ourselves, what we advise our clients to do and what we do for them is what we implement on our own Amazon business as well – we are talking about Amazon full account management. At Lezzat, we know firsthand what it takes to succeed on Amazon and the challenges needed to be resolved along the way.
It is our promise to our clients to make them succeed on Amazon. This requires our expertise and our commitment in transparency and communication to make this a successful business partnership.
